Social Connect – Arts and Culture

Social Connect – Arts and Culture

25

Oct

Come on down to Hyphen and join us for an inspiring evening of art and culture!

This spring we’re teaming up with Wodonga Council’s FReeZA Crew to host local artist Summer Matthews, who is set to inspire with her Indigenous weaving workshop.

Master the weaving basics and beyond – this workshop is perfect for both beginners and seasoned pros, with all the high-quality materials and tools you’ll need provided.

Dive into a fun, hands-on afternoon and create something beautiful—no experience necessary!

Free to attend for all high school aged young people. Stick around for a movie night on the big screen with Headspace, kicking off in the courtyard right afterwards!

About the artist

Summer draws on her Aboriginal heritage to create images of her family’s Country along the Darling River, and sites around Mt Manara, where the Rainbow Serpent, Ngatji, emerges from the ground to create the form of Country.
