Wander into your weekend with a relaxed evening in the gallery spaces at Hyphen, grab a drink and enjoy after-hours access to our latest exhibitions.

This October, be among the first to experience The World on the Inside, our newest Artspace exhibition by Sulman Prize finalist Therese Shanley. In this collection of oil paintings and dry point etchings, Therese explores the beauty and simplicity of day-to-day life through the people, places and objects which surround and inspire her.

Discover recent works of local collage artist Donna Caffrey in A Mirror to the Multiverse, where all possibilities and probabilities become events somewhere. Using paper, textiles and found images, Donna tears, cuts and places the elements to create provocative and playful creations of parallel worlds.

Explore ideas about distance, geography, history and storytelling through the work of New Zealand based artist Wesley John Fourie in I WAS ONCE A GREAT LAKE. This large-scale, finger knitted model of the Murray River is a colourful, tactile installation suspended from the ceiling and presented alongside a series of delicate en plein air drawings and detailed embroideries.

Visit the Community Gallery’s latest exhibition Land, Water, Country – an incredible collection of works from North East Water’s Aboriginal Art Prize. This exhibition showcases the winning artworks by more than a dozen prominent local First Nations artists responding to the Prize’s theme of “water”.
