Are you interested in competing for the Australian Poetry Slam title? Looking to hone your personal, political and poetic voice?

Join Gamilaroi poet Luke Patterson for this hybrid workshop and slam event where you will be guided through the elements of spoken word composition and stagecraft.

Following a slam performance by the host, participants will be led through a series of creative writing prompts in preparation for a relaxed open-mic hour.

In this event:

  • Learn the elements of spoken word composition and stagecraft;

  • Be inspired with a slam performance by Luke Patterson; and,

  • Write and share your own poems in a relaxed, open mic setting.

Recommended for ages 15 plus.
