Join us for an artist talk with world-renowned potter John Dermer. This unique opportunity to hear about John’s fascinating career will take place in his retrospective exhibition A Life in Clay, currently showing in Hyphen’s Artspace Gallery.
John Dermer has worked for more than 50 years specialising in wheel thrown forms, terra sigillata and salt glaze techniques. He has received numerous awards and commissions throughout his career. These include the highly prestigious Saltzbrand Keramik International Award in Koblenz, Germany, in 2006 and a major commission for the new Parliament House in 1987. Today, John continues his passion for ceramics working from his studio in Yackandandah.
