Show me the story by local artist Tim Rowston is an intriguing exhibition of colour photographs intricately linked to poetry and personal artefacts. The images were captured by Rowston along the south coast and Bindook Highlands of NSW, after the landscape was greatly affected by drought, a mega fire and then massive rain events in 2020.
Through his unique creative approach, Rowston invites the viewer to create connections between place, story and memory. The photographs are a family album of sorts – a way for Rowston to share images with his children who have now left home.
Rowston’s work is held in collections at MAMA, Australian National University, National Library of Australia, State Library of Queensland and State Library of Victoria.
